Farm Inputs Report Update - By Ellen Garland 0418 137 224
Listing of the Week - MAP with 1% Zinc Blend
Fertiliser - Urea continues to have many still sitting on the fence, waiting on that first rain and for the price to ease off. The volatility of the Urea market makes the price and availability a daily watch. Here’s what we know today, the price per tonne is $835.00. The current domestic price is much softer than rebuy prices, once current stocks are sold, this could begin to lift the price. Supply is good for now, but here are some factors that could put pressure on supply going forward. India hasn't fulfilled their required tonnage, domestically the pasture market is short on feed, and looking to make the most of rain with nitrogen application putting pressure on supply and soil tests are coming back very low in nitrogen. If you are holding off, please get in touch to discuss the quantity you anticipate you may require and when you would like to take delivery. This way we can keep you informed on a daily basis. MAP has lifted slightly to $1,105.00 per tonne, DAP is back slightly to $1,150.00 per tonne ex all ports. Single Super remains at $445.00 ex Geelong, Portland, Adelaide and Newcastle. There is a small amount available at $435.00 ex Geelong and Newcastle. We also have Single Super ex Port Kembla at $455.00 per tonne. SOA is $445.00 per tonne (All ports). We have had some customers lock in blends, including MAP/Urea 70:30, MAP/MoP 80:20, we can quote any custom blend required.
Chemical - We are at a similar stand still with Chemical as Urea, growers are holding off securing any chemical until they see a break in the weather. We anticipate issues with supply when this happens. If the dry weather continues, Trifluralin will be in demand with only a fraction of stock ordered by suppliers compared to the last couple of years. Please see below the price on some chemicals as of today:
Glyphosate 450 (1000L Shuttles) - $4.10 + GST per litre.
Glyphosate 540 (1000L Shuttles) - $5.10 + GST per litre.
Trifluralin 480 (1000L Shuttles) - $5.95 + GST per litre.
Paraquat 250 (1000L Shuttles) - $3.40 + GST per litre.
Righhook (Prosulfercarb) (1000L Shuttle) - $6.50 + GST per litre.
Superhero (Sakura) (5kg) - $1,072.50 + GST per pack.
Blender (Kombi 950) (20kg) - $90.00 + GST per bag.
Atrazine (15kg) - $130.00 + GST per bag
