Today’s Trends - A little bit of rain around in SA, Vic and Southern NSW. Not big totals as yet. Some better totals in Tassie. The hope is for some reasonable accumulated totals up to Friday.

What things sold - Lucerne Hay, Feed Corn, Barley Legume Mix, Headers, Tedder Rake, Vetch Hay, Millett Seed, Milk Vat, Feedout Trailer, Windrower, MKP and Calcium Nitrate.

• What things are keeping you awake at night? It's a good thing to reflect on.

• Do you feel your business could be running better? In the Jeff McDonald podcast, he explains his facilitation work, which he describes as a "Sit With" role that helps Farmers run a better business. I think these roles are important, and if you feel you could be struggling in a few areas, then you need to investigate getting one. It's about future-proofing our businesses.

• Is Deere just too dear? Business conditions are tougher at Deere. Has John Deere misread the market here, thinking we will be all lining up for $2 million Headers and $1.5 million Tractors? We investigate.

• It needs to keep raining. Hopefully, from today on, areas in SA, Vic, Tassie, and Southern NSW will get some rain. I think we wrote in one of our Hay Reports that we are living from one rain event to the next. It needs to keep raining in these areas for the season to come to anything.

• Do you reckon knowledge is power? I reckon it is, you need stuff coming across your table all the time, then it's a matter of drafting off the good info that is going to make a difference. • The fight for Ewes is on - I have never seen so many social media promotions of Ram sales. It's already an interesting Ram Sale season. Clearance is king.
