What was in this mornings edition of The Farmers Club.
  • This is big in more ways than one - What price will a top-of-the-range John Deere Header be in 2030? The cost will blow you away. We did a price analysis of the last 25 years of the Headers mentioned above, and the percentage price gains have accelerated big time since 2015. As I said, the 2030 projected price will blow you away. Subscribe, and I will send it to you.

  • Are Farmers’ endorsements the most powerful? In the Lachie McKenzie podcast, he was endorsing the “Tow and Fert” Sprayer, saying it was a game-changer. We had a Farmer buy one of these Sprayers this week, and he said this: “If Lachie McKenzies is using one, then it’s good enough for me”

  • What’s it really worth? - McBrides bought the Telopea Downs (47,677 ha) Property for $70 million, and had an independent valuer rate it as worth $123 million. That’s a nice capital gain if they get it.

  • When you’re Farming toast…. - We have two very good articles in today’s edition, one where a Farmer tells his story of being cooked from Farming at 45 and some of the things he has had to do to get his life into order. The other story is, well, it’s more of a recommendation of what to do if you aren’t enjoying your work. There are a lot of wise words in this one.

  • What does being respected really mean? Do you want to be respected by your Farming peers? Respect is hard-earned in Ag, and I think deep down everyone wants to be respected for something they do or have done.

  • Lamb fighting back - We have a few good snippets today on how the Lamb industry is taking some steps towards a focus on eating quality. Tom Bull’s Kinross Station brand is being added to the menu of a couple of fine dining restaurants in Sydney. Beef has out-muscled Lamb for years in the branding space, and also on restaurant menus, where you often see five Beef dishes to one Lamb dish.

  • Have a great Tuesday night.
