What was in this mornings edition of The Farmers Club.
  • The Australian Farmers Fighting Fund is a bit of an enigma. Formed many decades ago to help Farmers fight for their rights, it has since only backed 5 cases in total, including the Livestock Export Shutdown Class Action, which is ongoing, and the fund has bankrolled it to the tune of $30 million. We find out a bit more about what goes on in an article published today.

  • Do you want to hear from guys like Jeff McDonald, Lachie McKenzie, Jack Owen and Joe Messina? We have had 4 great conversations with these change merchants of Ag.

  • Jeff McDonald's podcast is about the new banking laws, how Farmers need to adapt to accommodate them. It's a must-listen for anyone who's in the business of Farming. He also sent in a reply to the local newspaper, which explains the changes and how they affect Farmers. We have access to that reply, and it's something everyone should read. Subscribe, and I will send it to you.

  • How are we going to pick winners? The Ag space is changing, and as businesses, we need to react without being reactive. There's a ripper reply in today's "Notes" that asks many of these questions. Subscribe, and I will send it to you.

  • Speaking of picking winners, Andrew Bouffler and his family had a ripper Ram sale last Friday. Their Trigger Vale Merinos defied the odds and sold 210 Rams at 100 per cent clearance to an average of $3375 and a top of $25,000. In what has been a toughish Ram selling season, where clearance rates have dived dramatically, this has been an exceptional result. It proves that the good guys and hard work get rewarded. Agriculture is about achieving things in increments, and one day they add up and culminate into a result like the Boufflers got. Well done and well deserved.

  • "I think you're onto something here". This is what someone sent to me in a message over the weekend. We think we are too.

  • Have a great Monday night.
