What was in this mornings edition of The Farmers Club.
  • Building businesses in the Bush - Did you know that Sunrice was formed from a group of Rice growers who had a meeting in the Whitton Hall back in 1950? Today, it has revenues of $1.85 billion. What's a business built in your area that has gone on and done something significant?

  • The Tobacco industry is now mainly a black market one, and it's only got to this point on the back of legal cigarettes being 3 times the price (gov taxes). The growing of Tobacco is a part of Ag (not the criminal stuff), and write about another industry that is also dealt with on the black market, minus the criminal element. Seed. It's readily traded behind the scenes. Will black markets become more of a thing as costs rise?

  • Are you concerned you are not keeping up with all the happenings in Farming and Ag? We offer a new and different way for you to become informed each day, and it will only take 10 to 20 minutes. Subscribe and you will stay informed.

  • Are you a DIYer? Have you built many things on your Farm that you could have bought off the shelf, so to speak? The Farm workshop is a sacred place. Many a problem has been solved (and some created) in the Farm workshop. Some have even gone on to build businesses that have ended up much bigger than their Farm. We write about it today.

  • You have either got it or you ain't - We all have a wide range of skills, and what we are seeing is these skills laid bare in the Sheep and Cattle stud game. Those who have skills in selling and are dedicated to their craft are reaching the pinnacle and have the best sales. The traditional players are long gone. People get attracted to this. We explain in a story today.

  • Does being a respected Farmer mean something to you? There's a story here.....

  • Have a great Tuesday night.
