Podcast - Kelly Marson - Our guest today is Kelly Marson from Let's Talk Australia. Kelly has blown me away with her passion for wanting to help with the negative experiences that come with mental health issues. You will get an understanding of her passion and commitment when you hear her speak.
Because of this, and also because it's such an important subject, we have decided to make this podcast available to the public through Apple Podcasts and Spotify, as well as behind the paywall to our paid subscribers.
There are some amazing insights from Kelly, and this is an edition that everyone should listen to.
At the time of recording, October is Mental Health Month in Australia, and Friday, October 10th, is World Mental Health Day, and Kelly and her team have a big event planned, which you will hear about.

What was in this mornings edition of The Farmers Club.
Have you been critiqued lately? I gave access to our full newsletter for an Ag journalist for 2 weeks so he could make an assessment of what he thought. I asked him to be honest, and he gave me a detailed rundown on his thoughts. It’s great to be critiqued in what you do by someone else in the know. Subscribe and I will send through his report.
Did you do a Crop inspection too on the weekend? We had a couple of things we had to attend to on Friday and Sunday, which gave us the opportunity to do a Crop inspection around some key Cropping areas of Victoria. We went from home in Central Vic to Maryborough, Navarre, Marnoo, Donald, Wycheproof, Boort, Pyramid Hill, Gunbower, Echuca, Moama, Perricoota Station, Rochester, Heathcote and then home again. We saw a wide variety of Crop conditions and wrote a report in this morning’s full edition. Subscribe, and I will send it to you. See below the map of our journey. What did you see on your Crop inspection?
We had the fortune to do a tour of Perricoota Station on Sunday morning before the Clark family vacated the premises as they sold it to the Hazledene family of Hazeledene Chickens fame. If you get the opportunity to attend a wedding or take up their accommodation at Perricoota Station, do so. It’s a special place.
The Clark family were at Perricoota Station for 8 years and renovated the place. After selling that, they bought Larundel, a magnificent 2400-acre Farm near Meredith in Southern Victoria that has the most stunning homestead on it. It will be a Sheep Farming operation and no weddings will feature at Larundel….
How are your confidence levels? Farming confidence can wax and wane at the drop of a hat. In this day and age, where information is instant, Farmers can quickly make an assessment of the season and markets. In the last couple of months, the confidence levels of Croppers have dropped, and at the same time, the Livestock producers’ confidence has skyrocketed. They were polar opposites a couple of months back.
Have a great Monday and start your day informed.
