• How things change. We wrote about how the once great Hereford is struggling commercially, and Hereford Australia wants to modernise the image of the breed. We ask the question, whether it is too late with many Cattle minds being made up on the breed, and how this stigma could halt any return to those halcyon days. What other things within Ag are heading this way?

• Are you in the Lentil zone? I chatted with a near-retired Farmer (subscriber) over the weekend, and he said without Lentils, his Farming business would not have been where it is today, such has been the positive impact of Lentils over the last 30 years. It's a. Fascinating story.

• I caught up with a Farming mate who is a subscriber and makes great coffee on Sunday morning. There is another fascinating story about how he approaches Farming.

• We are seeing some fantastic Crops being grown on a minimal amount of in-Crop rain. It's a credit to our Crop-growing skills.

• I took a trip from Central Vic (home) to Warracknabeal on the weekend, and I didn't see many Crops lying on the ground in windrows.

• When vision counts. Whilst in Warracknabeal, I caught up with Scotty Somers, who gave me a tour of his new Export Hay plant ( QA Hay) and outlined the vision they have for the new venture. It's sure impressive, and so is the vision. These guys are having a crack.
