A new Aussie Ag podcast has hit the airways, which is good to see because Aussie Ag podcasts seem to be in decline for some reason. Here we are talking about Farm Tender. Take a listen here.

TODAY’S TRENDS - Hay feed test results are beginning to come through, and the contrast is clear. Those who managed to bale and stack before the rain are reporting strong quality, while others are seeing more subdued results, with downgrades that will inevitably influence pricing.

Ongoing windy and wet conditions in several areas continue to delay baling, and some crops have now been on the ground for weeks, further adding to the challenges faced by growers.

WHAT SOLD - Tractor, Rotary Harrows, Cattle Feeders, Oaten Hay.

What was in this mornings edition of The Farmers Club.
  • Christmas gifting is a two-way thing. So when thinking of gifts to buy someone, you might know someone who would benefit from our newsletter. Or you might want to suggest to a loved one that’s something you would like. We can do a 7 or 13-month option, which includes 1 month free. I will leave it with you.

  • We did a long-form podcast with SA Cropping industry legend Bill Long yesterday, which we managed to get out today. Bill has achieved so much in his Agronomy/consulting/Farming career, and we chat about many different subjects. Great insights.

  • When you subscribe now, you are adding a whole library of podcasts to your learning arsenal. There are 16 “End of Message” short-form podcasts and 14 “The Farmers Club Private” long-form podcasts that you can tap into. Great whilst doing long hours over Harvest.

  • We also did a 2nd podcast with Bill Long, critiquing the GRDC, and why they have a billion-dollar cash pile. That one will be out early next week.

  • We wrote about Machinery syndication in a story this morning. It’s something Farmers might need to consider in this era of high Machinery prices.

  • It’s been a soft finish for those Farmers in the South East of the country, and boy, it’s been needed. We wrote about what a mild finish can do for a season this morning.

  • When we write, we angle stories that fuel questions. When we gather and aggregate information, we opt for the content that will fuel more questions. As we keep saying, it’s not about the content we deliver; it’s about what the content can do for you.

  • Have a great Thursday, and subscribe to keep yourself fully informed.

From Episode 23 onwards, our podcasts can only be heard if you are a paid subscriber to The Farmers Club. Sign up here.
