TODAY’S TRENDS - Activity is a little quieter today, which is standard for this time of year with majority harvesting (or holding off with total fire bans in place in some regions). We’re still hearing plenty of positive reports on yields from those already into it, which is fantastic. There’s also still plenty of movement happening across the machinery and equipment sector.

Wishing you all a great weekend!.

WHAT SOLD - Auger, Large Square Baler, Tipper Trailer, Slasher, Field Bins, Hay Rake, Cereal Hay, Caravan, Pup.

What was in this mornings edition of The Farmers Club.
  • We have been writing a lot about the Machinery industry lately, and there has been a lot of commentary about whether the Chinese and Indian brands will compete. We are all frustrated by the price of new Machinery, but as someone asked, are the John Deere's and CNH's or the world reading the Machinery tea leaves? There is something they need to be doing that is sticking out like dog's balls that would help Farmers no end. We wrote about it today. What do you want the big manufacturers to do?

  • If you subscribe to The Farmers Club, you won't need to spend money on any conferences for the next 12 months. Why? Because we have something like 28 short and long-form podcasts behind the paywall for you to consume from some of the smartest brains in the Ag space. So many learnings….

  • We write regularly about how these small, localised and targeted groups who are fighting things like renewable energy and mining on our precious Farmland and how they are leaving the more formal Ag Advocacy groups in their wake as far as results are concerned. We wrote about how, within these groups, leaders are emerging, and it's going a long way to arresting the leadership drought we have had in Ag for a while. Who are some of the leaders who are emerging in your eyes?

  • We wrote today about how a conversation goes better when we are asking questions. Even if you are making a statement or passing on your opinion, it all goes down better if you can add a question at the end. That gets people thinking, and then they might start asking questions too. We wrote about how you might frame it, in a story today. Are you good at asking questions?

  • Remember, it's not about what we do, as far as our content (stories, podcasts, info, ideas, news, learnings, etc) goes, it's about what our content can do for you.

  • Have a great Friday, and subscribe to start every day fully informed.
