What was in this mornings edition of The Farmers Club.
  • Bill Long Podcast Preview - This is part 2 of our interview with leading SA Agronomist, Consultant, and Farmer. In this episode, we talk about the GRDC, where Bill gives a critique as to what’s going right and what’s going wrong. It’s a very interesting perspective. Take a listen here.

  • The funnies are funny today - Every day in our extended newsletter, we have a group of about 20 funnies, and some days eclipse others. Today, you can get a good inner giggle out of most of them. Farming is a serious pastime, so treat yourself to a few early morning giggles and your day will get off to a great start.

  • Our audience is Ag right. So when we write stories, the story can be about something more mainstream, but we always relate that story back to Ag or Farming. Why? Because everything is relatable. It’s a great way to get people thinking more, and it often sparks ideas.

  • Like today, we wrote about how Masters tried out out-Bunnings Bunnings, and it went spectacularly wrote for Masters. So we asked our audience what things have gone spectacularly wrong in Ag and made a few suggestions. Our audience will come back with some answers tomorrow.

  • We also wrote a small cricket story about how Wicketkeepers and Umpires only get noticed when they make errors. So we related that back to Farming and how when we ran out of seed in the Airseeder on their main road, and now everyone can see my error....... You know....

  • Simon Quilty was a very interesting podcast guest. He wasn’t brought up on a Farm or in Agriculture. His parents were doctors in Shepparton. But he has this uncanny knack for relaying complex information into simple terms so that, as Farmers, we walk away with a full understanding of what he is talking about. We wrote about it today.

  • Have a great Tuesday, and subscribe to start your day fully informed.

From Episode 23 onwards, our podcasts can only be heard if you are a paid subscriber to The Farmers Club. Sign up here.
