What was in this mornings edition of The Farmers Club.
  • Our resident Ag marketing guru, Dan Schultz, said during tighter times, Farmers will weigh up the “must-haves” with the “nice-to-haves”. They will relinquish the things that don’t fit into the “must-have” category. Not many of you would put quality information and ideas into the “must-have” category. But the lifelong learners amongst us will put that at the top of the list. Subscribe to tap in…..

  • Sometimes in Farming, we discover things by accident. That’s exactly what happened to Graham Gilmour, the inventor of the Aussie White Sheep breed and Tattykeel stud fame. That discovery has sent Graham on a new path. We write what that path is and what it could do for the Lamb industry.

  • We have many great subscriber replies today, but one stands out. The reply was from a successful businesswoman who told a story about a mate of hers who fits exhausts. He is noticing more people are buying them off eBay and trying to fit them themselves. They are opting for the cheaper option. But the exhaust guy said more often than not, they come to him when it goes pear-shaped. It got me thinking that sometimes in life you have to go down that cheaper option track and have to it go bad to learn a lesson. We wrote about it today.

  • Through our businesses, we sponsor some clubs, events and organisations. Many of you guys do too. Do you get bang for your buck with your sponsorship, or have you resigned to the fact that it is a donation? In tighter economic times, the club sponsorship is coming under scrutiny. We wrote about it today.

  • Have a great Wednesday night, and subscribe to keep yourself fully informed each day. End of message. Reply to [email protected] or 0427 011 900
