What was in this mornings edition of The Farmers Club.
  • Kent Wooding podcast preview - Kent has paved a well-built path in the Agronomy game, mainly in the Mallee area of Victoria. He started out in the space at 20 back in 1990. Kent worked for 5 or 6 organisations in his working career before he made the bold move to start his own business, and then he left the Mallee, the place where he is very well known and where he built a strong reputation. It’s a ripper interview, and we covered plenty of ground. Take a listen on Apple here and on Spotify here.

  • 12 days to go. Your mornings will change for the better - We are putting our monthly subscription price up from $40 + GST to $45 + GST on February 1st. But if you subscriber before then, we promise to freeze the $40 + GST price for life. Yep, that’s right, you become a Foundation Member, and you will never be subject to any price rises, ever. So if you have been thinking about signing up one day, now is the time. After February 1st, we will also be reducing this free version from 6 days to 2 days a week. Head to the bottom of the page and click upgrade, or if you are having any issues subscribing, ring, text or email (see below), and I can help you out.

  • Ken Solly mentioned in a podcast we did with him about how we have to beat Farm inflation every year. Farm inflation (or deflation) is an interesting subject, and we wrote a story about it today.

  • Remember the fax. Telstra thought it was great because we all needed an extra phone line and phone number. They were great tech at the time, then along came email. We wrote about our memory of the fax, or the facsimile as it was called in long form.

  • It’s a father and son thing, but when they work on the Farm together, there is bound to be regular blow-ups. Blues, you know, fights, probably only verbal in nature, not fisty cuff or not often anyway. We wrote about it today, including my own arguments with the old man……

  • Have a great Tuesday night, and remember to subscribe to start your day fully informed.
