What was in this mornings edition of The Farmers Club.
  • 4 Days to go. We intend to be around in 10, 20 years’ time, maybe longer. We explain below - We are putting our monthly subscription price up from $40 + GST to $45 + GST on February 1. But if you subscribe before then, we promise to freeze the $40 + GST price for life. Yep, that’s right, you become a “Foundation Member”, and you will never be subject to any price rises, ever. So if you have been thinking about signing up one day, now is the time. After February 1, we will also be reducing this free version from 6 days to 2 days a week. Head to the bottom of the page and click upgrade, or if you are having any issues subscribing, ring, text or email (see below), and I can help you out.

  • We have been at this newsletter caper under The Farmers Club brand for 728 editions so far, and we are only just getting started. We can see ourselves doing this for the next 10, perhaps 20 years, and who knows, it might evolve into something that lasts longer than that. The reason I am talking about longevity is that I think this short-form information-and-ideas newsletter model is going to take off in the Ag space. Another reason is that we absolutely love what we do. We get so excited waking up knowing we get another opportunity to present another newsletter to you. It’s an extremely exciting “new category” space to be in. So join us before midnight on February 1, we would love to have you onboard.

  • We talk Tractors today in an article on why we need dumbed-down models with less tech and less expense. A Machinery article I just read yesterday said that’s what these Chinese manufacturers will bring to the market.

  • One of the country’s leading Croppers is only in his 30s. He is paving a way for others to follow by sharing all his trials and errors. In an article we wrote today, we unpack what makes him a leader in his industry of choice.

  • I remember when I started out in Farming, I probably cruised a bit in my 20s, worked hard, but didn’t put much thought into what I was doing or why. We have evidence now that, to set yourself up for a successful Farming career, you need to be going about it in a strategic manner in your 20s. We outline what’s required for such success in an article we wrote today.

  • Have a great Wednesday, and subscribe to be a “Foundation Member”.
