Podcast preview - Barry Clark

We recorded this podcast with Barry Clark live at a conference, and I had the pleasure of co-hosting this interview with the affable and ultra-professional Kirstin Diprose. This one is a real standout story on so many fronts, and it's chock-full of great business lessons and takeaways. In this podcast, you have to listen intently and perhaps replay some of the points to find the take-home bits. Listen to it on Apple Podcasts here, and over here on Spotify.

Here is a Fuel and Fertiliser Survey from our friends at Ag Surveys - https://agsurveys.limesurvey.net/987654?lang=en

Where will Urea be today?. Will we get the bookings for collections that are needed?. What will the fuel levy be today?, however, what I have noticed in these times is that Farmers are resilient and they continue to roll with the punches.  Here is where things are at with pricing and availability today.

Urea - I have heard that the Urea price has reached over the mid $1500’s.  Any prompt or April/May product seems to be fully committed, we have access to Mid May/June.  Please get in touch to discuss as soon as possible.  There are June/July and July/August offers on the table but would prefer to only go out as far as June for now.

SOA - SOA remains in the high $600’s and is not available for new contracts until the start of May onwards. Ex All ports. Availability is varied depending upon port.  We have 14 Bulk Bags ex Brisbane available for prompt collection.

MAP - MAP has taken another jump, now in the mid to high $1,400’s.  There seems to be prompt stock available ex All ports.

DAP - DAP is now in the high $1,400’s - Ex All ports

SSP - Single Super continues to be difficult to secure, we have found some good alternatives.  Please get in touch to discuss.

Granulock Z - All Compound Z products are in short supply, there may be small amounts available but we are now looking at blends as an alternative.

MoP - High $700’s  - Ex all Ports

SoP - High $1,300’s - Ex all ports

CHEMICAL -
Note: Farm Tender Price in Brackets.
Please note that the prices in brackets are the prices that we can offer. As mentioned last week, we expected to see chemical availability become tight and pricing to start to going up.   Glyphosate and Paraquat quoting is currently on hold and unsure on when this will become available again. There is a lot of pressure on supply of these products.

What was in this mornings edition of The Farmers Club.

One saving grace

With all the turmoil going on around Fertiliser and Fuel, there is one saving grace. What's that, you ask? That saving grace is that we haven't started Sowing or Seeding yet. It means, to a certain extent, we are not locked into what our plans are like we were, say, 3 weeks ago. We can adapt to the situation that presents itself, even though the immediate future is murky. This is a positive because.....
