What's happening over at The Farmers Club?

By Dwain Duxson

  • Our latest writings:

  • We released part 2 of the Nigel Kerin podcast this morning. It’s called β€œThe business of climate”, and for me, I am just starting to understand why Nigel has developed his advanced Farming systems.

  • We ask our Farmer subscribers to give a rundown of what it was like Farming in the tough 1990s.

  • We also asked our subscribers what particular traits they inherited from their parents or grandparents. It’s an interesting self-assessment to go through.

  • This is a great story about how Nigel Kerin created a whole new income stream by utilising finance he wasn’t using.

  • We fall in love with the things we create. This leads to biases. We explain further.

  • One of our new writing contributors is 22; he hasn’t been there and done that yet, but his skills in understanding what’s going on around him are second to none. And his writing is soooo good.

  • Our 22 yo writer, Caleb, wrote about what he learned about relationships whilst working at a few stations outside Alice Springs.

  • We wrote about part 1 of the Nigel Kerin podcast.

  • If you want to do a good podcast, you have to prepare. Nigel made the effort to ensure he delivered content people could take away and use. It’s a great lesson on how to deliver.

  • Some Farmers up in the Central and Northers NSW area won’t be putting a Crop in this year. It’s too dry. This is not what a couple of banks wanted to hear…..

  • Michael Bagshaw, another of our contributors, outlined how being curious is a great superpower.

  • Have a great Wednesday, and subscribe to witness some truly great content.
