🌾HAY REPORT - “Welcome Rain for Some” đźŚľ

It’s encouraging to finally see some rain fall across parts of the country. While there are still plenty of tough patches doing it hard, this will certainly lift confidence and hopefully get crops moving after sitting dry for the past few weeks.

We’re still hearing of solid volumes of hay heading up……

What's happened to Hay prices over the last fortnight? 

Here are the latest prices.

  • Vetch is in the bracket of $250 to $440 a tonne (New Season)

  •  Cereal Hay ranges from $200 to $450 a tonne (New Season)

  •  Lucerne Hay ranges from $340 to $615 a tonne.

  •  Clover & Rye Hay ranges from $350-$380 a tonne.

  •  New Season Straw ranges (at the moment) is from $90-$150 a tonne.
