Not loved by all… - We bang on about all things Farming, both here and in The Farmers Club newsletter on a daily basis, and we keep it all pretty positive. Some would say we go off the rails from time to time, but generally, we are pumping this great industry.
I was listening to Kerry Lonergans's The Weekly Grill Podcast this morning, which featured Rural Property agent guru Danny Thomas. Danny was talking about the state of the Rural Property market when he said something that pricked my ears.
He said that there were good buying opportunities in South West Vic, South East of SA, and Tassie, where Land prices have come off, and it's been a tough season. He said this: "Farmers are a little weary and some were sick of Farming in that part of the world".
This comment from Big Danny got me thinking that maybe some people are over Farming and don't want to do it anymore. There are probably people out that have never liked it but do it to hold up family traditions and the like. We have written about it before, and people have emailed me saying they are fed up with it, and some are leaders in the Farming game. So if you feel like it's more a chore these days, then you have to find a way to change that, and if that means getting out, then that's what you have to do. Stop living someone else's life. Do you, or have you, felt that Farming is a chore? Reply to [email protected]
