Go where the Farmers go… - It's interesting when we start talking about sales and selling, and some seem to clam up. Sales are what makes the world go round, and I don’t think it’s a dirty word. Marketing is something we perform that leads to sales, so they are different but joined at the hip.

It's interesting to note that some of the best promoters in the Ram and Bull selling game are the ones having the most successful sales. The advent of social media and other digital platforms has given these naturally born marketers a platform to speak to thousands of people at a time. It's a much better strategy than a couple of ads in The Land two weeks before the sale.

The digital space is where you get to find the reach that leads to sales. For example we put out a Lamb feedlotting story through this newsletter and attached the story to a Lamb Feedlotting masterclass/event. The organisers rang up and said this: "Yesterday, we had 45 register. This is 35 more than our daily average. Thanks a lot".

As a bit of a plug for our own business we now have a banner advertising platform built in to our website and newsletter. We offer much-cheaper-than-average advertising for any Agricultural businesses. We have over 76,000 members, 45,000 get our Farm Tender Daily newsletter and we have between 6000 and 8000 unique viewers per day to the site. If you want to be seen by the Farmers, we are the place.
