Do you think it’s time? - I see where the right-to-repair argument is coming back into the spotlight. I think it's something that's needed because the Dealers can't keep up in peak times (it could be that no one's there to repair, haha), and some of the techies (a flash new word for a Mechanic) that have worked at a Dealership are out on their own now.

I think it's perfect timing. An Agricultural right-to-repair law would allow Farmers to have their Machinery fixed by their preferred local repairers or make simple repairs on the Farm without fear of voiding warranties.

How much pressure would that take off Farmers, especially if they had a trusted Mechanic in their back pocket when needed? I don't think the Dealers would like it because that's their bread and butter, and they make good margins on repairs, service and genuine parts.

If it did come in the Mechanics might leave the Dealership and set up on their own. Then there are the manufacturers who are trying to corner you so you can't go elsewhere. As an industry do you think we need the right to repair?  Reply to [email protected]
