It’s easy to just whinge - We all do a bit of whinging these days. We are guilty of it through this newsletter from time to time. We mostly like to keep things positive, but sometimes we stray.

A Farmer said this today: "Again, thanks for getting people to think rather than just complain". It's little reminders like this that keep us on our toes and to stay focussed on challenging people's thinking.

As Farmers, we have been up against it, and we are fighting back, which is great. This, to some, can be seen as a form of complaining or negative talk, but fighting for what you believe is necessary. We still need to give some thought as to how we campaign against these issues that threaten our Farming systems and way of life. So, let's all make a conscious effort to find positive solutions.

Another replier who is a Farmer, got stuck in a bit and said this: "Dear Dwain, What an entitled lot we Farmers have become. Anyone born after 1960 has never been asked to go to war for their country, so have had a sheltered life, and unless working in the Shearing industry, a less physically demanding one. No lumping bags or bag sowing in the hot sun, no air conditioning, always had electricity, probably had a school bus ride to school, instead of riding a bike or horse on unformed tracks. All of this has happened in the last two generations". Some good points, but the issues of today are the issues of today, and we can only deal with those and not ones of the past. Do you reckon we do too much whinging and not enough solution-based thinking? Reply to [email protected]

2) I am reading a lot about how people are restricting or switching off social Media. Why?
3) I haven’t got a 3rd story pencilled in but I will by the morning.
