Going places this one - If you asked me who is the Ag Tech business that is going to have the biggest impact on Australian Agriculture, it's a company called Agrichain.

Like our business, Agrichain has been around for a long time, a decade or more, and they have done it the opposite to us. They have built a technology platform and then worked on adding customers. We have built a database and then incrementally added the tech. Two very different approaches.

Agrichain is a supply chain management platform for the Grains, Fertiliser, Hay, and Freight industries. They are up and away now, with some of the biggest and most well-known Grains, Food, and Freight businesses operating on its platform. Farmers are also customers, and if you're growing Grain and want to have the best digital record-keeping and execution system money can buy, make sure you join up.

They are secretly scaling at a rate of knots, and I can see the day when every tonne of Grain passes through their digital hands. There is nothing in it for me or us; it's just an observation I have, and through the chats I have had with the founder, Caile Ditterich. Caile, like most of us, has knocked on plenty of doors and been rejected more times than you can count, but the belief in his system is what keeps him going. It's a sticky one, like Xero; once you get all your data in the system, you won't want to leave. Do you have something you use that is sticky, something you can't do without?
