They taketh away - Being an Ag enthusiast I am subscribed to a lot of Ag publications. Some of them are free but most I pay for.

A couple of weeks ago Nutrien stopped sending me the Wool report straight after the sales via text message. I loved those reports. A quick glance for 10 seconds and you have a snapshot of the Wool industry. Apparently, the person who did it has retired, and nobody has picked up the baton.

It got me thinking about how we don't really appreciate lots of things until they disappear or get taken away. All of a sudden, we have to live without them, and more often than not we find a replacement, but sometimes we don't.

On the other end of the spectrum, with the cost of living crisis we are going through, people are starting to work out what they need and what they can drop off. People are having to give up stuff. And after going cold turkey for a while, they realised that they never needed it anyway. If anyone knows of someone who sends out a good Wool price text message, please let me know. I'm happy to pay. What's something that has been taken away that you missed? And what's something you have given up that you haven't missed? Reply to [email protected]

AuctionsPlus replies - We did a story yesterday (see here) about a Lamb trader who got short changed slightly on a mob of trade Lambs. We got a lot of replies and some very interesting ones. To see those replies, please sign up for The Farmers Club here, and I will email you through the full newsletter.
