Newsletter scam doing the rounds. Someone has copied one of our newsletters and replicated it, stating that Agrifac Australia (Sprayer company) has sold its distribution rights to O’Connors/Titan, or something along those lines. You can see part of it at the bottom of the page. It’s a scam so it’s untrue. Unfortunately, we have no control over this sort of stuff. It’s only been emailed to a small group of targeted people, we think.
What can I expect? - I am currently writing this from Port Lincoln in SA. It's my first time here and my first time on the Eyre Peninsula (EP). I travelled across the Nullarbor a few years back so I skirted around the edge but never been down the guts, so to speak.
We have the EP Field Days this week, where Phil Rowntree and I will be exhibiting for Farm Tender. We are on site 282 on 7th Street. Please call in and say g'day.
What am I expecting from this renowned Farming area? I know it's been a bit of an unusual season, so I am expecting Crops not to be fully developed as they normally would be. I wonder what the consequences of that are? At the Cotton Conference last week, I found the people to be upbeat, confident, positive, and excited. It will be interesting to see what perception I get from talking to the people here on the EP. I will report back later in the week.
It's always good to get out of our own backyard to experience and understand what others are going through. Being an exhibitor at a Field Day or attending one in a different area can be a great way to open up your mind a little. Do you like to travel outside your area to gain a bit of inspiration? The Farmers Club headlines - Our 3 topics tomorrow are:
1) We can take things from someone else’s left field of thinking. This one is a good one.
2) Counting Sheep doesn’t come easy for some. But this legend made it entertaining at least….
3) Getting better. It’s a constant cycle of thinking, trialling, doing and implementing.
