The money follows - I have heard that if you don't focus on the money but do a good job and get more right decisions made than wrong ones, the money will look after itself. 

In my new The Farmers Club newsletter, we wrote about a Charlie Munger quote: "Time does all the work". By that, we mean if you just focus on the job at hand and do it well, then over time, you will get to where you want to go. 

I heard the money saying on the Profitable Farmers podcast when Hutch interviewed Hayley and Martin Grosser. You can listen here. Hayley said when they did focus on the money or the lack thereof, they became anxious and negative about it, which meant they were digging a bigger hole. The constant focus on money within a Farm business can paralyse you, and you will never reach your full potential. 

But when it wasn't the focus, and they just got on with the job at hand and did it well, the money started to turn up. Although, it's easier said than done when things aren't going the way you planned. I have seen a couple of cases whereby a couple of businessmen I know panicked when they got into their 60's, thinking they would need more money to retire. They then started chasing money hard, made it their primary focus and ended up blowing the lot. Do you think you worry or focus on the money side of the business too much?
