Saying no - Last night, I did a bit of a talk to a group of Canadian Farmers who are out here doing a 30-day Farm/Ag tour of Australia. It was a talk about our Farm Tender journey and our Farm upbringing. It sort of ended as a Q&A about Australian Farming.
It was a fantastic interaction as they were super interested in how we go about doing things here and how it relates to how they do their Farming.
I also talked about how we tried to replicate our Farm Tender business in the US and Canada 8 years ago and how our Family based ourselves there for 12 months to try and get it going. As some of you would know, we failed in our quest to get it going and returned to Australia.
We then had dinner together after the presentation, a few of them came up to me and said that the model in Canada (they didn’t want to speak on behalf of the US) would probably work now because COVID changed everything. I always said I would like to go back in a different guise and give it another crack. But I thought about it today and realised that it’s not such a priority anymore, and I am happy doing what I am doing and have other things that I find challenging. I guess we all learn to start saying "no" at some stage in our lives. Have you started saying "no" to things? Reply to [email protected]
