The Ag CEO that can paint - Allan Cooney, is an old work colleague of mine back in the old SRS days. This was about 25 years ago now, many moons ago, but he was fun to work with, and we have caught up a few times since. Allan is now CEO of NAPCO, a large 145-year-old Cattle business that employs 220 people across Queensland and the Northern Territory.

Allan is a former Sheep Farmer from Eulo in Western Queensland. I always regarded Allan as clever, but I never knew he could paint. I am limited in my art knowledge, but he describes his paintings as contemporary Art. See his website here

Before you continue, please take a look at my new side hustle newsletter. Sign up to The Farmers Club here.

Allan has an invite-only exhibition in Toowoomba coming up on the 25th of this month. He will be Auctioning off a couple of paintings for the "Are you Bogged Mate" organisation, which is a super kind gesture. See the two paintings up for Auction at the bottom of this page and contact Are You Bogged Mate for how to bid. Are You Bogged Mate is doing wonderful things for Men's mental health in the Ag space.

I'd say there are thousands of Farmers with genuine hidden talents out there. So it would be great to know what hidden talents you have. Don't be shy, or better still, if you have a Farming mate or member of the Family with a hidden talent, do them in. I won't be passing any names on to anyone; it will be just interesting to know.
