Fake things will look real - I can't pick up a paper without someone referring to AI. No, I am not referring to the Farming AI; you know, artificial insemination, but the new world AI, artificial intelligence.

It's not really hit us yet, but it's coming. And when is does, it will come in good and bad forms. What I mean by that is the criminal world will love it because it will make fake things look real. I'm sure they are using AI to intercept and duplicate our invoices to syphon money out of our accounts. It should be second nature now to double-check invoices before you pay them.

That's bad AI. Good AI might mean that longwinded, sometimes meaningless tasks can be done by a machine instead of us. How far that penetrated into Ag I'm not quite sure. It can only go a certain distance because many of the tasks in Ag require someone to physically do something. The Sheep don't Crutch themselves.

I am a big believer that AI will make trusted human content more valuable than ever. Going forward, we will have to have our wits about us to decipher what's fake and what's not. Dealing with trusted brands and companies will be on everyone's radar. The age-old telephone call will become more important than ever. If you're dealing with a business and you can't ring them and talk, steer clear. It's going to be fun (not) navigating our way through what's fake and what's not.
