Ahh The EP - Some of you will be aware that we have spent the week in the Eyre Peninsula (EP). Newby Farm Tender staff member Phil Rowntree and I did 3 days as an exhibitor at the EP Field Days.

The Field Day was good, but like a lot of Field Days, they could trim off a day, as the last day was really windy, and the crowd was sparse.

As for the Crops, they looked good, but like in a lot of spots, they need rain for them to continue looking good. Everything is a bit behind due to the dry start. Having never been here before, the countryside was more undulating than I envisaged. What also struck me was how everything changes really quickly, the soil type, the rainfall, the terrain. There’s a real sweet spot around Cummins where they very rarely miss out on a Crop and it looked good.

We stayed in Port Lincoln, which was a nice place with plenty going for it. The sunrises across the ocean were a real highlight. Last but not least, the people were super friendly and seemed very laid back. From a Farming sense, they roll with the punches and know that lesser years are a part of how it all works. A very enjoyable experience and I will be back. If you haven’t been, do yourself a favour. What’s your opinion of the EP? Reply to [email protected]

The benefits of Advertising on Farm Tender - "Running digital advertising in Farm Tender's Daily newsletter and on Farm Tender has definitely boosted our brand awareness. We found it to be an easy and cost-effective way to reach Farmers who spend a lot of their time online. We've been impressed with the response, including direct phone calls from seeing our ads, definitely great value for the investment." - Charlotte Sutherland, Upper Murray Seeds
